Update: Balloting is Cancelled
The Tierrasanta Community Council and Planning Group (TCC) had four candidates step forward for the March 2021 election: Mike Ogilvie, Bob Lang, Don Chick, and Steve Muckle. Because all four candidates are running unopposed, and in concordance with emergency COVID guidelines put in place by the City of San Diego, there will be no balloting for the March 2021 TCC election. The aforementioned candidates will be elected by acclamation at the March 24, 2021 meeting.
The following vacancies will be available after the election: 2 seats representing Area 2, 2 seats representing Area 5, and a seat representing the Village at Mission Valley apartment community. All seats will be declared at-large (available to any eligible member of the community) at the March 24 meeting. Vacancies shall be filled via appointment by a majority vote of the TCC.
To be eligible to be appointed to the TCC you must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident, a property owner, or a local business or not-for-profit owner, operator, or designee at a nonresidential real property address in the community planning area. A map showing the areas of Tierrasanta is available at http://www.tierrasantacc.org/tcc-council-members/ . Additionally, you must have attended at least one meeting of the TCC in the twelve months preceding the meeting in which you are seeking appointment.
Each position on the Tierrasanta Community Council is for a two year term. The terms of each position are staggered such that half of the positions go up for election each year. Each area of Tierrasanta is represented by three people on the TCC.
