Purpose

To manage mass communications between the Tierrasanta Community Council/Planning Group (TCC) and the community of Tierrasanta.

Leadership and Membership

The Chair of the  Committee is appointed by the TCC President and approved by the full Council. Membership is comprised of TCC members plus community members with skill sets associated with website construction and management, public communications, public relations as well as other interested persons.

Roles and Responsibilities

There are a variety of ongoing communications-related programs and initiatives that will require specifically focused efforts by a number of people, sub-committees or working groups, not just TCC committee members.  Such as:

  • The TCC website.
  • Dissemination of information presented at TCC meetings.
  • Use of social media and bulk e-mail.
  • Electing and communicating with area representatives.
  • Promotion of and interacting with the TCC.
  • Comprehensive community calendar.
  • Physical visual communications. 

In view of the differing subject matter and efforts involved, it is likely that these sub-committees or working groups will be created or dissolved as necessary and operate independently of one another or the committee as a whole to manage specific issues.

The authority of the committee and its sub-committees and working groups is limited to their own internal management and the conduct of informal liaison with outside organizations.  All matters of substantive action or of any funding will be referred to the TCC for decision.
