Purpose

Committee performs review and analysis of proposed projects for TCC to vet impacts with respect to the Tierrasanta Master Plan, applicable City regulations, established community regulations, and environmental concerns. 

Leadership and Membership

The Chair of the Development Committee is appointed by the TCC President and approved by the full Council.

Membership is comprised of TCC members plus community members with skill sets associated with architecture, engineering, city planning, structural analysis, traffic engineering, and community master planning. Committee members are also sought with long term TCC community involvement and community wide perspectives versus single project supporters/deniers. 

Council Policy requires that a majority of committee members be current voting members of the planning group. TCC Bylaws describe CDC as “consisting of nine (9) members, five (5) members of which shall be voting members. Consequently, a majority of the committee shall be TCC members.

Roles and Responsibilities

Committee performs liaison with project developers and city staff to fully understand the technical aspects of the proposal and advise the TCC members of project pros, cons, and alternatives.
